Set amidst the glorious Shropshire countryside near to the Welsh Borders, Shrewsbury is the birth place of Charles Darwin and is one of England's finest medieval market towns. But stuck in the past it is not!
Shrewsbury Visitor Attractions

Shrewsbury Events
In addition to the Folk Festival there are a number of major festivals and special events held each year, including the world famous Shrewsbury Flower Show. The town has recently started to honour our most famous "son" by organising an annual Darwin Festival. Our major Arts Festival Shrewsbury Summer Season runs each year from June to August with a series of music, visual arts and theatre events. More Events can be found here.
